The Vines of Hope Festival will be held on
October 19 in partnership with Durban Music School who will co-ordinate a free al-fresco
afternoon music concert to take place in Diakonia Avenue.
The programme line-up is as follows:
13h00-14h00: KZN Wind Band
14h00-14h30: Addington Anglican Church
Gospel Choir
14h30-14h45: Local Poet
14h45-15h00: Singers from the Durban Music
School
15h00-15h30: Davin and the Rhinos
15h30–15h45: Rene Tshiakanyi
15h45–16h30: The Music School Big Band
The festival will run from 13h00 until 16h30
in front of the Music School. The idea is to enjoy live music, and to wander
through the Social Justice “Flea Market” to be held in the beautiful courtyard
of Diakonia Centre which remains open at the same times.
Entry is free and all are welcome. There will
be security and car guards. Parking is alongside Metro Police Station, Diakonia
Avenue.
