The Hindi title, Bullett Raja,
launches at Ster-Kinekor cinemas at Gateway in Durban and The Zone@Rosebank, on
November 29.
Bullett
Raja is the story of Raja (Raj Babbar), a common
man who is transformed into a dreaded gangster of the Hindi heartland. A victim
of the system and contained by it, Raja’s life changes as he takes on those in charge,
and shakes the very foundations on which the police, the government and the
industrialists are based.
Becoming an outlaw, he rises and revolts
against the system as he changes the landscape forever. The powers that be
fight back in a compelling struggle for power and money against the backdrop of
personal ambitions, greed and revenge. Redefining love, friendship and loyalty,
Bullett Raja creates a world where
the common man’s endurance and fortitude is tested against the very system that
he once obediently followed, and then declares war on it.
The film is written and directed by
Tigmanshu Dhulia and produced by Rahul Mittra, Nitin Tej Ahuja and Tigmanshu
Dhulia. It stars Raj Babbar, Saif Ali Khan, Sonakshi Sinha and Jimmy Shergill
in the leading roles, with Chunky Pandey, Ravi Kishan, Gulshan Grover and Vidyut
Jamwal in pivotal roles.
