Concert
in the Orchard presented by Handmade Concerts takes
place on December 6 in Salt Rock.
Handmade Concerts’ mission is to bring
people together to enjoy a few happy hours of easy-listening live music in a
family friendly environment.
This will be the third concert in the
series and will include artists such as headline act CrashCarBurn, the internationally
acclaimed Johannesburg-based rock outfit currently receiving massive airplay on
5FM, Asleep in Transit, an award winning indie-pop act from Durban, Nje an
Afro-folk sensation steadily making their way towards an international release,
legendary finger-style guitar virtuoso Nibs Van der Spuy, Zulu Maskandi groups
Cupha Ukunyathela, Phuz’Ukuvela and Thwasa.
Also on the programme are the close harmony
vocal trio The Soul Sisters, award winning singer /songwriter and guitar legend
Rowan Stuart, popular local blues with the HandMade Blues Band, Durban diva
Pinkie Mtshali and her band and retro vinyl hipster cult favourite DJ Fuego Heat.
Mamma G’s, one of Ballito’s most popular
eateries, will provide the food and beverages at great prices, along with a
cash bar. Seating is unreserved and secure parking is available.
Concert
in the Orchard takes place on December 6 at The
Litchi Orchard in Salt Rock from 16h30 till late. Tickets available online at www.webtickets.co.za at R50 (R25 for
under-12’s / under-6’s free). Tickets at the gate R60 (R30 for under-12’s / under
6’s free).
