One of the biggest events on the South
African calendar and certainly the premier event on the entertainment scene,
the South African Music Awards (SAMAs) is taking entries for the milestone 20th
edition in 2014.
The SAMAs will take place at Sun City, on April
27 and 28, 2014. The awards ceremonies celebrate excellence in the South
African music industry and are the culmination of months of hard work for the
artists involved.
2013 witnessed a new breed of musical
superstars dominate the SAMAs; 2014 is expected to be a watershed year for the
awards as they celebrate their 20th anniversary.
Says SAMA Spokesperson David du Plessis:
“Following a highly successful event this year, we have kept the format and the
categories for the iconic 20th edition of the Annual SAMAs largely the same.
Winning a SAMA is still the highest accolade a musician or producer can win in
South African music. We look forward to receiving top quality entries for next
year’s milestone ceremony”.
The entries close on November 30 at 18h00.
