Coming up tomorrow night at St Clements in its Mondays at Six programme is the book
launch of Colour Me In, featuring drawings
by Andrew Verster. The book is designed and edited by Rick Andrew.
“This is a colouring-in book with a difference,” says Rick
Andrew. “It has been made primarily for adults - seldom catered for in the
world of colouring-in books - though children are certainly not excluded from
adding colour to these drawings.
“The drawings on each page are shapes, forms and faces
culled from Andrew’s (Verster) inexhaustible imagination.
“On the theme of colour, we have collected a range of
insights expressed verbally,” he continues. “These range from art and artists
to vegetables and rainbows, song titles and everything in-between. There are
some words about colour to accompany each drawing. These words are not there to
dictate what colours to use, but rather to keep the mind open to all kinds of
possibilities as you add colour to the drawings. Buy yourself a box of quality
pencil crayons and remember, it is not necessary to colour-in every square inch
of white paper.”
