Join the
award winning Flatfoot Dance Company in an intensive four-day dance Summer
School which will run from December 10 to 13 on the . University of
KwaZulu-Natal Howard College Campus.
The
Summer School is aimed at pushing technical dance skills in the contemporary
idiom and allowing dancers (still training or already professional) to work in
an environment with skilled choreographers, teachers and workshop facilitators.
Have
great fun, get fit and open yourself up to a life changing dance experience!
You will be nurtured and supported as you take on the challenge of dancing for
four full days with Flatfoot Dance Company. The Summer School is aimed at
dancers from the age of 12 upwards and all levels of ability are welcome. Certificate of attendance and participation
on completion of the 2013 Summer School.
There
are three levels of the Intensive Summer School:
The full
four-day Summer School Programme (09h00 to 14h15) – cost R450.00
Attend
the four morning technique classes only (09h00 to 10h45) – cost R220.00
Attend
the four choreographic workshops only (11h15 to 14h15) – cost R280.00.
(this
option will lead to a final performance viewing so all participants would need
to be available for this on December 13)
The Summer
Intensive Teaching Team from Flatfoot includes Lliane Loots, Clare Craighead,
Sifiso Khumalo, Sifiso Majola, Julia Wilson, Jabu Siphika and Thobile Maphanga.
The
four-day intensive Summer School takes place from December 10 to 13 in the Flatfoot
Dance Studios and Square Space Theatre on the University of KwaZulu-Natal’s Howard
College Campus.
