“Adam would rather play with rocks than
talk to Eve…” Not much has changed since the Garden of Eden!
Mark Twain’s “The Diary of Adam and Eve” will be presented on April 30 at Seabrooke’s
Theatre at DHS (Durban High School). This hilarious exploration of the
relationship between men and women looks at how the lonesome and wearied Adam
is sent Eve, an inquisitive woman with a fabulous flair for giving Earth's
creatures their proper names. And, though inarticulate and somewhat of a silent
recluse, Adam eventually discovers a newfound appreciation for the talkative
Eve as they weather eviction from Eden and become new parents.
This one-act masterpiece showcases Twain’s
wry humour and perfect wit. One of the greatest love stories of all time, not
to be missed.
The
Diary of Adam and Eve is directed and also features
Catarina Morgado (Lee Strasberg NYC Alumna). She played Dolo in Chaucer in Rome, Alma Winemiller in Summer and Smoke and Persephone in Polaroid Stories at the Marilyn Monroe
