The St Philomena’s Community Development
Area situated in Sydenham is really going places as it reaches out to the arts
community to make use of its spacious hall.
Under the efficient organisation of Clinton
Daniels, the venue is attractively and elegantly decorated with white drapes
and upmarket table settings. It offers a highly user-friendly entertainment
space in a complex that is easily accessible and has ample secure parking.
Since the beginning of the year, St
Philomena’s entertainment area has hosted a Bridal Expo which included a
Wedding Fashion Show presented by Kyd followed by a Valentine’s Day Dinner and
Dance on February 14.
Working closely with Clinton Daniels is
well-known actor, director and writer Hamish Kyd. Acknowledged as an eThekwini
Living Legend for Arts & Culture, he matches Daniels’ passion for the
development of young people through drama - as in edutainment.
Coming up this week is Kyd’s highly popular
Knowing You … Knowing Me which he
created as a play as well as a novel. It's about a father coming to terms with the information that his much-loved son is gay. The show is thought-provoking yet funny and poignant. Performances will take place on February

Any productions taking place give a high
