The SA Writers Circle will hold their next
meeting on February 16 with the AGM taking place at 10h30.
Guest speaker will be Trevor Corbett whose
topic is Mystery & Crime Writing plus
a Short Overview on Flash Fiction
Writing.
This will be followed b a workshop on Flash
Fiction.
Trevor Corbett was born in Cape Town and
studied Communication and Criminology, achieving his Honours Degree while
working at the National Intelligence Agency.
He worked on organised crime and
corruption. A strategist for the State Security Agency, he is the author of two
books, An Ordinary Day and Allegiance. Both spy thrillers, they are
set in Durban featuring agents Kevin Durant, Amina Yusuf, Mike Shezi and Cedric
Shabalala.
The SA Writers Circle meeting will take
place at 10h30 at the Main Westville Library (behind the Civic Centre).
Entrance fee R15 (R5 for members). Please take along a plate of eats to share.
