Music Revival presents a light, fresh and elegant selection for
a Sunday morning prior to the Open Garden Talk. The concert, featuring
Christopher Duigan on the piano, takes place tomorrow (March 16) in the studio from
11h00 to 12h15 followed by an opportunity to picnic in the indigenous garden,
or on the verandah in case of inclement weather. A short talk My Gardening Philosophy with Professor
Barry Lovegrove takes place in the garden at 15h00.
Barry Lovegrove's garden is well-known for its inspired hard
landscaping, its creative use of pots, an abundance of succulents and its
indigenous character. Join the KZN Inland branch of the Botanical Society to
explore Barry's gardening philosophy at a very special talk in his garden
Patrons are welcome to arrive from 12h30 after the concert with picnic baskets
and chairs/blankets to enjoy the garden. Indigenous plants from Vallea Vista Nursery
will be on sale in the garden on the day. All proceeds from the talk will
support Botanical Education by bringing learners to the KZN National Botanical Garden
for educational visits. Tickets for the talk are R50 (R15 children/learners). To
