The popular eight-piece Platform Jazz
returns to Parklane Superspar in Pietermaritzburg tonight (March 5). All the
familiar faces will be there including Cathy ‘Hotlips’, Dunc ‘The Hunc’, Ian
‘Lightning Fingers’, Andreas ‘Bullfiddle’, ‘Bashful’ Bruce Baker on drums ,
Jono Judge on sax , pianist Melvin Peters and songbird Shelley McLean on
vocals.
This time the band will play much-loved tunes
from shows, films and musicals. Included are Night and Day, My Favourite Things, The Bare Necessities, You’ve got a
friend in me and Somewhere over the
Rainbow.
A two-course meal will be available from 19h00
and the music starts when the supermarket closes at 20h00. Tickets R100
including the meal and a cash bar is available. Places are limited so booking
