The first series of Hotel
Secrets with Richard E Grant will be screened on BBC Lifestyle (channel 174
on DStv) tomorrow (Sunday April 13) at 17h00 on BBC Lifestyle channel 174.
Get a taste of the incredible luxury and often scandalous
history of some of the world’s best hotels in this upmarket travel series
presented by award-winning actor Richard E Grant. Travelling the world, Richard
reveals the stories behind the glamorous facades – from bad behaviour to sex
scandals, from warring hotel dynasties to the outrageous extravagances of rich and
famous guests.
As he explores hotels such as the George V in Paris, the
Four Seasons in New York, the Chateau Marmont in Los Angeles, the MGM Grand in
Las Vegas and the Savoy in London, Richard sets out to discover what makes a
select number of hotels so unique. With insights from Donald Trump, Ian
Schrager and André Balazs, this series also boasts two specials on Ireland and
the French Riviera.
