NOW EXTENDED TO NELSON MANDELA'S BIRTHDAY: JULY 18 (2014)
Little
Bo Babies is an online retailer of baby products and art-to-life plush toys
that was started by Hout Bay entrepreneurs, Gayathrie and Sascha Schatz. They
recently announced their Remembrance Doll Facebook Competition
to honour Nelson Mandela. Five lucky winners could have their drawing of Madiba
turned into a plush toy.
Little
Bo Babies’ innovation of turning kids’ drawing into plush toys was a perfect
platform for connecting with the Nelson Mandela Children’s Trust. Gaya strongly
believes in supporting her local community by employing previously
disadvantaged women and giving them the skills they need to provide for their
families.
“We want
to inspire the children of South Africa to keep remembering the values Madiba
stood for,” says Schatz. “We hope that the process of putting crayon to paper
will encourage children to think about everything Mr Mandela did for our
country.”
Little
Bo Babies have pledged 20% of all profits to the Nelson Mandela Children’s
Trust.
To enter
the competition submit your drawing of Nelson Mandela by posting it on the Little
Bo Babies Facebook page (www.facebook.com/LittleBoBabies)
The five
drawings with the most “Likes” will be notified and their drawings will be made
into a unique Little Bo Baby plush toy. Each of the five winners will receive
their plush toy for free AND their plush toy will be made available for the
general public to buy on littlebobabies.com
