The Reals will perform four unique shows
over the next month - each with a varied selection of repertoire and themes –
at Rhumbelow Theatre in Durban and at its Pietermaritzburg venue.
Expect to hear original songs, creative
covers of their favourite blues and rock artistes and excerpts from their hit
tribute shows, including Rodriguez, The Eagles, Woodstock and Dire Straits. The
Reals will present four different selections of music in the first half of each
show. So even if you see all four shows, you will hear something new at each
performance. An opportunity to see some of the musical creations of one of
Durban’s top bands.
The Reals comprise Barry Thomson, Dawn
Selby, Mali Sewell and Jason Andrew with Shaun Dragt appearing as guest
guitarist for Dire Straits and The Eagles in Durban.
The show structure for the Festival is as
follows:
Show 1: Rodriguez.
Cold Fact – Tribute to Rodriguez
Show 2: The
Eagles, Act I: Original Reals Creations plus The Reals’ versions of covers.
Act II: Tribute to The Eagles
Show 3: Dire
Straits. Act I: Original Reals Creations plus The Reals’ versions of covers.
