KHOLWA BROTHERS

The well-known and popular isicathamiya singing group, Kholwa Brothers, will return to the Playhouse on May 24 after their show in 2013 was received with great success.

Marking a huge achievement for the group, this success prompted the Playhouse Company to entrench Kholwa Brothers’ production as part of their year calendar as it develops the youth and promotes South Africa’s culture and heritage.

Kholwa Brothers is an pro-active, highly-skilled and seasoned Isicathamiya singing group formed in 1990 by Derrick Mlambo. Originally from Snathing in Pietermaritzburg, he is now based at Inanda outside Durban.

The word "kholwa" means "a believer" in isiZulu. This Durban-based multi award winning group has attained the best South African vocal group status through developing their routine from local and international shows, social and official functions to reach a top-notch standard of performance.

The youthful 11 male member vocal group offers world class performances which cater for all age groups and events.

Catch the Kholwa Brothers on May 24 at 19h00 in the Playhouse Drama. Tickets R50 booked through Computicket.
