(“Kyk Daai Blomme”, one of the splendid quilts on show, made by Village Quilters for Cape Town Festival to honour the flower sellers of Cape Town)

Exciting local quilt show!

Would you like a chance of winning a Pfaff sewing machine as well as having an inspiring day out? Then come along to the Kloof Quilt Show, taking place at the Kloof Civic Hall, corner of Old Main and Village roads, on Saturday (May 10).

The show is being hosted by Village Quilting Guild, Kloof Country Quilters and Grassroots Quilters Guild as a fundraiser for the 2015 National Quilting Festival to be held at Kearsney College in July next year.

There will be a range of beautiful quilts on exhibition, some of which will be for sale.

An American auction will be held of a selection of A3 size quilts made by quilters from all over South Africa and there will be loads of vendors with goodies for sale. A number of raffles will be available and the most important one is a Pfaff sewing machine which will be drawn on Saturday before the close of the Show.

Entrance fee R30 includes refreshments. Proceeds from the show will go towards the 2015 National Quilt Festival, to be hosted by the KZN Quilting Guild.

The Kloof Quilt Show will take place at the Kloof Town Hall on May 10 from 09h00 to 15h00. Entrance Fee R30 includes tea or coffee and a snack.
