Produced by Polart, Late Night with Mohammed Rafi features Vee Gani, Pranesh Maharaj,
Veerdhen Punwasi, Tansen Nepaul and Anesh Dusrath.
Mohammed Rafi (December 24, 1924 – 31 July,
1980) was an Indian recording artist considered by many to be one of the
greatest Indian playback singers of the Hindi film industry. The idea behind
this show is to review the musical genius of this vocal maestro by taking the
audience on a journey through his songs and documenting his history in music
whilst adding local flavoured comedy tasteful to the entire family.
There will be a Mother’s Day Special of the
show on May 11 and, in spite of the title that suggests an evening performance,
it will take place at 14h00. The show runs for two hours and even if you are
not a “Rafian”, you will be delighted with the energy it presents.
Late
night with Mohammed Rafi takes place in the Aquarius
Lounge on May 11 (Mother’s Day).at 16h00. Tickets R100 available at Computicket,
seating unreserved.
