PROJECT MANAGER VACANCY AT ACT



Deadline: May 30 2014.

The Arts & Culture Trust (ACT) is seeking a Project Manager based in Johannesburg for a fixed-term contract from July 10 2014 to March 31 2015.

The purpose of the role is to take responsibility for logistical arrangements, event coordination, project administration and communications of the ACT | UJ Arts & Culture Conference scheduled to take place on March 9 and 10, 2015.

Project management experience and good communication skills are essential. Eligible candidates would have a proven track record in the delivery of projects. The ideal candidate would:

Have an undergraduate arts administration degree and/or relevant experience
Have a good understanding of and knowledge about arts and culture
Be organised and systematic
Have strong communication skills with a high standard of written and verbal English
Be comfortable with multi-tasking
Have the capacity to work under pressure and manage a busy workload

The Project Manager will work closely with senior ACT management as well as with the Content Director of the conference and will be based at the ACT offices in Braamfontein.
