On July 22, Friends
of Music will host a recital by pianists Liezl-Marét Jacobs and Elna van der Merwe
who have established themselves as well- known South African pianists,
accompanists and chamber musicians. On one piano, they will present a programme
of piano duets by Mozart, Mendelssohn, Fauré and Schubert.
In the Prelude
Performer slot, established by the National Lottery Distribution Trust Fund
will be Emil Loubser on saxophone accompanied on the piano by Bonita
Ziegelmeier performing Georges Guilhaud’s First Concertino for Eb Alto
Saxophone.
Tickets R70 (R60 FOM members and R20 Orchestral / Students)
Booking is at Computicket. Friends of Music concerts take place at 19h45 at the
Durban Jewish Centre, 44 Old Fort Road (K.E. Masinga Road), Durban. There is
