Doctor Detroit will air on Sony Entertainment Television on
DStv Channel 127Movie on August 13 at 20h00.
Funnyman Dan Ackroyd (Ghostbusters,
The Blues Brothers) stars in this comic romp. He plays a timid college
professor who is tricked into posing as a flamboyant pimp, known as “Doctor
Detroit”. Suddenly saddled with protecting four prostitutes from a mob boss,
the professor draws on his knowledge of medieval literature to save the day. Directed
by Michael Pressman (1983), the film also stars Howard Hesseman (WKRP in Cincinnati, Head of the Class) and
Donna Dixon.
