The Friends of Music recital tomorrow night (August 12) will
feature Cobus du Toit (flute) and Patrick Sutton (guitar).
Du Toit has won dozens of competitions on two different
continents including the Unisa performance, Laicent Competition and the Boulder
Philharmonic Competition.
Patrick Sutton is the winner of the 2009 Lamont Chamber
Music Competition. His also the two-time
prize-winner of the Degs guitar competition.
Their programme will include works by Piazzola, Takemitsu,
Maximo Diego Pujol and Beaser.
In the Prelude Performers slot created by the National
Lottery Distribution Trust Fund will be the oboe duo of Nina Alborough and
Nompilo Mathe, accompanied by Maggie Deppe.
The concert will take place at 19h45 at the Durban Jewish
Centre. Tickets R70 (R60 FOM members and R20 Orchestral / Students) Booking is
