Opening tonight (August 18) at 18h30 at artSPACE durban is Impart,
a combined Student and Lecturer ‘design’ exhibition featuring the work of top
students and lecturers from fashion, interior design and graphic design
departments of the Design School Southern Africa (DSSA).
DSSA was founded in
1990 and grew to become one of the leading design education and training
institutions in South Africa with a brand new campus having opened in Durban in
2013. The DSSA philosophy is that an education in design is no different than
design itself. It should be well-planned, contemporary and, above all,
creative. The organisation prides itself on providing an inspirational learning
environment whether it’s Fashion Design, Graphic Design or Interior Design.
Impart is a reflection of the top work done by the first and second level
Durban students over the past year and a half as well as personal work by the
lecturers.
The following full
time qualifications can be studied at the DSSA: BA Fashion Design; BA Graphic
Design, and BA Interior Design – all three years minimum study.
Also available is a
Higher Certificate: Art and Design which requires one year minimum study. DSSA
also offers an array of part-time short learning programmes.
Impart runs until
August 30 at 14h00. artSPACE durban
