Durban University of Technology’s Drama and Production
Studies Department will pay tribute to Deborah Lutge and stage their annual
dance production, Reunion, in her
honour. The 2014 Annual Season of Contemporary Dance, Reunion offers works inspired by Professor Lutge’s 25 years of
passionate commitment.
Reunion is a one
week event which celebrates the enduring strengths and traditional values of
the Drama Studies Programme. It aims to cement our bonds and celebrate our
existence by catching up on, by exploring past connections with ex-students
celebrating their growth and success in the industry, and just a quick reminder
of where they started.
Reunion showcases
all 2nd and 3rd year Theatre Dance Specialists and showcases five new works by
Durban based choreographers, Mdu Mtshali, Mlekeleli Khuzwayo, Sifiso Khumalo
Sifiso Majola, and directed by dance lecturer Mdu Mtshali.
The production runs from August 25 to 28 at 19h00 at DUT’s
Courtyard Theatre in Mansfield Road.
