DStv Compact customers are in for a treat this spring! No
more late-fees for DVD rentals, no more driving back to return DVDs.
BoxOffice, the
24-hour movie rental service offered by DStv, is now available to DStv Compact
customers on their HD PVRs and DStv Exploras.
BoxOffice has become the go-to place for convenient access
to the newest, hottest movies available to rent - watching the latest movie no
longer has to be an outing. Demand for the service triggered DStv to make the
service available to a broader audience. BoxOffice is available via the HD PVR
and Explora decoders to Premium, Extra and Compact customers, while BoxOffice
online is available to all customers - DStv subscribers and non-subscribers.
“DStv is all about giving subscribers a ‘feel every moment’ experience
and this is primarily done through the masses of content that is available
through the HD PVRs and Exploras. 20 years ago, who would have thought that we
would be renting movies without stepping outside? Renting a movie has never
been easier,” commented John Kotsaftis CEO DStv Digital Media.
As a DStv Compact customer all you need is an active
subscription, including the R75 monthly access fee. Then simply SMS your
smartcard number to 37569 – and you’re ready for Hollywood to come into your
home!
Renting a movie is just R27 and can be easily done by
pressing the green button on your HD PVR remote or the BOXOFFICE button on your
Explora remote. The first movie is on
the house! Once you’ve rented a movie, you have 48 hours to watch it as many
times as you want.
Ready to rent now is the dramatic but hilarious Tyler
Perry’s Single Moms Club, the story
of a group of women brought together by an incident at their children's school.
The single mothers bond and create a support group that helps them find comedy
in the obstacles of life and the strength to overcome them. Starring Nia Long,
Amy Smart and Cocoa Brown.
