The Centre for Jazz and Popular Music will present the Pre-recitals
preview concert on October 15
The candidates are Diploma Students: Lungelo Ngcobo (piano),
Rogan van den Berg (guitar), Lucky Swele (guitar) and BPrac recital students:
Danielle Booysen (piano), Zama Khuzwayo (vocals), Sylvester Mavimbela
(saxophone), Ethan Naidoo (guitar) and Sebastian Goldswain (guitar).
From the ensemble, expect to hear compositions by Thabang
Mavimbela and Danielle Booysen as well as arrangements by Sebastian
Goldswain and Ethan Naidoo. In addition, the students will debut some of the
material they intend performing on their recitals 17-19 November 2014.
The concert takes place at 18h00 on October 15 at The Centre
for Jazz and Popular Music (CJPM) Level 2, Shepstone Building, UKZN Howard
College Campus. Entry fee R40 (pensioners R25 and students R15). For more
