A pop up mini exhibition by Marianne Meijer titled On a small scale opens in the Corridor
Gallery at artSPACE Durban next week.
“Every year I seem to see more colour and detail in a
person’s skin than I ever did before,” explains Meijer. “People are filled with
such complex emotions which, as an artist, I try to express. There is so much
to capture in a person’s identity, so much that speaks through eyes and other
facial expressions. That’s what I try to reveal in my drawings and paintings.”
On a small scale opens
on November 3 at 18h00 for 18h30 and runs until November 22 at 14h00. artSPACE
