USHAKA SEARCH FOR THE STARS

Over the past two months, the uShaka Marine World Entertainment team have been touring KwaZulu-Natal in search for new and emerging talent to add some special sparkle to the 2014/2015 entertainment calendar!

The uShaka Search for the Stars finals in partnership with the Department of Arts and Culture saw acts ranging from singers, dancers and bands to speciality acts and were open to both amateurs and professionals. The winners from each of the categories will be employed by uShaka Marine World in a year-long contract to perform as entertainers on an ad-hoc basis within the park.

Wayne Scott, uShaka Marine World’s Entertainment Manager, was extremely impressed by much of the talent that took part in the finals of Search for the Stars. “It certainly paid off by travelling our province seeking out fresh talent and bringing them all together to compete for this prize, and in doing so providing our visitors the best entertainment.”
