Kloof’s highly
popular live entertainment venue, Open Strings, in association with On Fire
Comedy will host Comedy Night! on November
13.
The 90-minute show
features top-class comedy entertainment from Jem Atkins, Masood Boomgaard and Neil
Green.
Host Jem Atkins (Single Dad), who is hailed as one of the
funniest guys in Durban at the moment, has just finished a sold-out three-night
theatre run of his latest one-man comedy show, Single Dad II.
Neil Green, the
Headline Act for the night, has risen through the ranks to become one of
Durban’s funniest and most accomplished comedians. His sharp wit, commanding
stage presence, packed-out one-man shows (I’m
Ill and Proudly Coloured)) and
hilariously honest take on life have won him fans throughout Durban and beyond.
As the Support Act,
Masood Moomgaard is one of Durban’s favourites. Riding on the success of his
latest one-man comedy shows (Funny
Country; Oscar & Other Things That Kill), he has performed stand-up
comedy since 2007 and has shared the stage with virtually every top local act. A
highly sought-after MC and a columnist with the Sunday Tribune, his material is
current, clean and widely enjoyed!
Appearing in the open
slot is Rory Petzer from East Coast Radio.
Comedy Night takes place on November 13 at 20h00 (doors
open at 18h00) at Open Strings, Villa Brae, 16 Jameson Terrace in Kloof. Tickets
