The hugely popular
show The Glitter Girls, featuring Lisa
Bobbert, Liesl Coppin and Marion Loudon will have a short run at the Hexagon
Dive in Pietermaritzburg next weekend.
All three
performers have received the coveted honour of The Mercury Durban Theatre Personality
of The Year. Together they make for a full-on trio of talent, bubbly humour and
excellent performances.
Based on the story
of three young women who re-connect for the 20th year reunion of
their old school, The Glitter Girls features
songs from Madonna, Rihanna, Pink, Bananarama, even Alison Moyet and Bonnie
Tyler. Also expect nostalgic memories from bands like Duran Duran, Wham and The
Eurhythmics.
The Glitter Girls runs from November 13 to 15 nightly at 19h00
for 19h30 at the Hexagon Dive on the Pietermaritzburg campus of the University
of KwaZulu-Natal. Tickets R100 pp (tables seat 10) and the show is presented in
supper-theatre format so patrons are advised to bring food, but no drink –
