National Association of Television Programme Executives
(NATPE) is a film market where creators can pitch their ideas (scripts) to
Networks. This market takes place every year in January in Miami, Florida (USA)
and in June in Prague (Europe).
The WGSA applied earlier this year to the Department of
Trade and Industry's EMIA scheme and the application was successful. WGSA will
be taking 16 writers in January 2015 to Miami!
Before the end of this year (2014) NATPE will put out
another call for application to the next market in June 2015. In order to apply, the following documentation
will be needed:
You have to be a WGSA member
You must have a valid passport
You must have a valid Tax Clearance Certificate - which you
can only obtain if your taxes returns have been submitted and you have no
outstanding debts with SARS
You may apply as an individual or as a Company - for this
you will need the company registration documentation or in case of an
individual a certified copy of your identity document
… and of course, you need to have a project
