(Andrew Walford)
Head for Shongweni tomorrow for a country Zulu Zen
experience at the Andrew Walford Pottery Open Day. On offer will be hundreds of
flame-fired pots; Ikebana and the usual popular Bargain Basement.
Walford has recently returned from Korea where he has been
awarded prizes for his tea bowls for two years running. His entry to the Singapore
Chawan Exhibition was also a sell-out. There will be a section where visitors can
taste various teas including the fabled Korean green tea out of Andrew’s bowls.
Walford’s studio is a special place overlooking Shongweni
dam and game reserve where you can meet friends over refreshments which include
Joy’s homemade cakes and Neetha’s legendary breyani.
Andrew Walford Pottery Open Day takes place tomorrow
