Indian music fans and followers of Sony TV’s popular Indian Idols talent competition can
catch the gorgeous Tia Kar – one of the top five finalists in the fifth Indian Idols series – at Sibaya’s
Krakatoa Night Club on December 19 and 20. The dynamic, exceptionally-talented
songstress promises a spectacular show that will have her fans mesmerized by
her soul-stirring voice.
Tia Kar is a half-Punjabi, half-Bengali girl born in aamchi
Mumbai, Maharashtra. Raised and nurtured in a family of musicians, Tia Kar
first burst onto the music scene as a participant in Indian Idol 5.
Since then, Tia Kar has kept extremely busy does live shows,
playback singing, movies and music videos. Her latest music video is Jiya Re with Farid Ahmed from Sa Re Ga
Ma Pa Challenge 2008. She was also a Movers
and Shekhars co-Host with Shekhar Suman on SAB TV.
She has done hundreds of live concerts nationally as well as
internationally. Performing across the Boundaries has moulded this petite
powerhouse singer. She is the only Indian performer to perform in Asian TV
competition (ASIAN WAVE) in Shanghai on August 21, 2012, and the only performer
who was asked to represent India on the International stage.
Her show at Krakatoa starts at 22h30 and entrance is R100
