(Chris O'Donnell from
“NCIS: Los Angeles”)
Universal Channel on DStv 117 will make weekend viewing a
delightful feast with TV’s dishiest male stars on the box each Saturday and
Sunday from February 7 at 16h40. The100%
Irresistible campaign smorgasbord will serve up marathon episodes of House, NCIS: Los Angeles, The Mentalist
and Two and a Half Men.
The month of
love kicks off with marathon episodes of House
featuring Hugh Laurie as title character Dr. Gregory House. He has been
described as a misanthrope, cynic, narcissist, and curmudgeon. Apart from his
biting wit and mocking nature, House manages to exude great intelligence and
rugged sex appeal and is renowned for being a medical genius.
If you intend
staying indoors on Valentine’s weekend, then you won’t be sorry for the company
of Sam Hanna, played by LL Cool J and G Callen played by Chris O’ Donnell and their
team of fellow ex-Navy SEALS in NCIS: Los
Angeles. The hunky agents, who have been partners for more than five years,
have proved that determination and steely strength coupled with killer smiles
will continue to enthral fans. Dodging bullets and bad guys in this successful
franchise from the NCIS stable is all in a day’s work for this twosome. Sam is
one of the handful of people that Callen trusts, evidenced by both being able
to pick up on each other's quirks and bad habits. They have excellent teamwork
in the field and are very loyal to one another.
On February 21
and 22, it’s the turn of everyone’s favourite charmer, Patrick Jane in The Mentalist. Played by Simon Baker,
Jane manages despite his playful and cocky nature and tendency to ignore
authority - to display great pain, vulnerability and guilt over the death of
his wife and daughter. Jane has an
obsession with finding their killer Red John and is considered to be the finest
detective in California, on par with Sherlock Holmes.
To lighten the
mood, the last weekend of February 28 will kick off with comedy series Two and a Half Men featuring Walden Schmidt
played by Ashton Kutcher. This handsome young billionaire had big shoes to fill
when he took over the Harper house and Harper men who were left behind to mourn
after big brother Charlie’s demise. Walden slowly starts to mature in this
testosterone filled household, becoming less needy. Walden is incredibly smart
and his bank account attests to that greatly.
Gripping
characters, great action, dramatic storylines and solid comedy – all roads lead
to Universal Channel this February, only on DStv 117.
