Deadline:
between March 12 and 14, 2015
Artisan Gallery’s first exhibition of the year is entitled Line and opens on March 18.
“Do not be put off by the name as it most certainly does not
limit you to just drawings,” says owner Ingrid Lotter Smith. “The possibilities
for interpreting this theme are vast and varied! Put on your thinking caps and
come up with something special.
“There are no real limits of quantity or size within
reasonable constraints of available space, but it must please be work that has
not been shown before,” she continues. “We do reserve the right to selection. There
will, however, be a hanging fee which will be 10% of the artist’s price for
each artwork to a maximum of R100. So if you value the piece at R500, the
hanging fee will be R50. This amount is payable on delivery. We are looking
forward to a really exciting and varied exhibition.”
It would be appreciated if artists would indicate their
participation and if they send in images on or before March 4 the gallery might
be able to use these for the invitation and any other publicity. All work must
be delivered between March 12 and 14 to Artisan Gallery and all work submitted
must be ready to hang/display.
Artisan Gallery is situated at 344 Florida Road,
Morningside, Durban. The gallery is wheelchair friendly. More information contact
