The next Friends of Music recital will take place on
February 17 and will feature pianist Aviram Reichert.
Reichert is acclaimed for his deeply intelligent
interpretations and phenomenal technique. He won the 1997 Bronze Medal at the
10th Van Cliburn International Piano Competition. His programme will include
works by Beethoven, Scriabin and Chopin.
In the Prelude Performer slot, supported by the National
Lottery Distribution Trust Fund, will be Rachel Wedderburn-Maxwell on violin.
Tickets R70 (R60 FOM members and R20 Orchestral / Students)
and booking is at Computicket. Friends of Music concerts take place at 19h30 at
the Durban Jewish Centre, 44 Old Fort Road (K.E. Masinga Road), Durban. There
