Airing on DStv Channel 128 on February 9 at 21h00, Jungle
Fever is a critically acclaimed film from Spike Lee which explores the
provocative consequences of interracial relationships. Wesley Snipes portrays
Flipper Purify, a black architect who begins an affair with Angie Tucci (Annabella
Sciorra), his working class Italian secretary. Their relationship causes them
to be scrutinized by their friends, cast out from their families and shunned by
neighbours in this moving view of inner-city life.
The cast also includes Spike Lee, Halle Berry, Tim Robbins,
Samuel L Jackson, Ossie Davies, Ruby Dee, Lonette McKee and John Turturro. Jungle Fever also features a
chart-topping original soundtrack by Stevie Wonder.
