The floating trophy and generous prize money to the value of R20,000 is donated to the KZNSA Members’ Exhibition by the Emanuel family, in memory of Durban painter and long-standing member of the KZNSA, Joan Emanuel. This donation has directly resulted in raising the standard of the show.

Judges were Tony Starkey (Honorary Research Associate, DUT Fine Art and Jewellery Design), Mduduzi Xakaza (Director at the Durban Art Gallery) and Val Coppin-Shaw (Gallerist and KZNSA Gallery Committee Member).
