Erin Fourie accompanied by Charl Landsberg will appear at
this week's Maritzburg Musicians' Club at The Red Door, in a programme that
will include a rare solo show from local well-known act Neil Rossouw!
Erin Fourie and Charl Landsberg have been making music
together for five years, entertaining audiences with their acoustic folk sound.
Fourie is well known around Pietermaritzburg, having been on the muso scene for
over ten years as well as for her appearance on South African Idols in 2011. She is currently working towards her
Masters in Drama and Performance studies.
When he's not playing keyboard, bass or singing, Charl says
he “makes art, wreaks havoc and writes”. His poetry has been published in a
number of online collections and he has a Masters in Theology.
Neil Rossouw is a well-known, Midlands musician. Most known
as the guitarist for local stars - Pan Latino and more recently as the lead
singer of the epic Red Hot Chilli Peppers Cover band, he is no stranger to the
Maritzburg Music scene. Playing gigs with various talented musicians for many
years, he is adept at a range of guitar styles.
