ALL GONE RETURNS

All Gone, a true-life drama co-scripted by Thami Sikhosana and Bongani Mbatha, directed by Sikhosana and starring Mbatha, returns to the Durban stage at the Catalina Theatre from March 31 to April 12.

Presented by Samnqoba Productions in association with Catalina Theatre, All Gone is a gripping one-hander with a strong moral message, reflecting on how people miss a golden opportunity of pulling themselves up out of hardships and making a better life for themselves.

Directed by Sikhosana and starring Mbatha, this gripping one-hander play with a strong moral message reflects on how people can miss a golden opportunity of pulling themselves up out of hardship and making a better life for themselves.

“All too often when given a second chance of finding a better future, one tends to venture into stupid things, realizing too late all is gone and one cannot reshape life again” says Sikhosana.

Innocent Mhlanga, miraculously recovered from a freak road accident which left him disabled, is compensated by the Road Accident Fund. Instead of conserving his hundreds of thousands, lavish extravagance soon sees that all his money is gone.

Set in Kokies Tavern in KwaMashu, the drama unfolds in a series of flashbacks. The audience is engaged by multi commentary characters enacted by one actor who is surrounded by beer crates as props to evoke the tavern situation, also other environments reflected in the play.
