Comedy fans are in for six of the best when the hilarious Charous and Bruin-ous Comedy Festival
returns to Sibaya Casino & Entertainment Kingdom this week. After playing
to sold-out audiences for almost a decade, Charous
and Bruin-ous is back at the iZulu Theatre at Sibaya for three shows, the
last one taking place today (April 26).
In a brand new show, featuring all-new content, with some of
Durban`s most talented Indian and Coloured stand-up comedy acts sharing the stage,
Charous and Bruin-ous promises to be
the laugh-a-minute event of the season.
Amongst the top local comedians taking to the stage in the Charous and Bruin-ous Comedy Festival
are Neville Pillay, Richelieu B, Masood Boomgaard, Mervyn Pillay, Liam E, and
Arnotte Payne.
Show host Neville Pillay says that Durbanites are in for a
treat: "Durban has its own unique style and flavour of comedy. To know
Durban, you have to have walked it, lived it, breathed it and indeed tasted it.
It's a city with so much diversity and cultural magic that's it hard not be
find yourself immersed in it. As for the people, you can’t help but fall in
love with the people of Durban. This show is about Durbanites telling their
stories,.”
Their final performance at the iZulu Theatre is today (Sunday)
from 17h00. Tickets R120 and R150 available at Computicket and at the Sibaya
Box office. The show carries an age restriction of 16 years.
