Get a Bollywood fix on this April with the much anticipated, blockbuster crime
thriller, Detective Byomkesh Bakshy! This action-packed film will be releasing at
a number of Ster-Kinekor cinemas on, April 3, including Gateway Theatre of
Shopping in Durban.
In a contemporary interpretation of war-torn Calcutta during
the 1940s, Detective Byomkesh Bakshy!
follows the first adventure of Byomkesh (Sushant Singh Rajput), fresh out of
college, as he pits himself against an evil genius who wants to destroy the
world. It's his wits against the most villainous criminal the world has seen,
in a world of murder, international political intrigue and seduction.

Bakshy! is based on the early exploits of India’s first true-blue
detective, created by Bengali bestseller writer Saradindu Bandyopadhyay.
The film stars Sushant Singh Rajput as the young Bengali
private detective Detective Byomkesh Bakshy. Also featured are Anand Tiwari, Swastika
Mukherjee, Divya Menon,, Neeraj Kabi and Meiyang Chang.
The film is directed by Dibakar Banerjee and produced by
Banerjee and Aditya Chopra with music composed by Sneha Khanwalkar.
