The Hilton Arts Festival has announced that the application
process to exhibit art work at this year’s festival is now open. Embedded into
the glorious mix of activities at KZN’s foremost arts festival, the annual
Witness Hilton Arts Festival, is a series of visual arts exhibitions to take
place on the beautiful grounds of the Hilton College from September 17 to 20, 2015.
Last year the visual arts component of the festival was
reconfigured to create new spaces for exhibitions to take place. Festival
Director, Sue Clarence stated: “The overwhelming response from all of our
wonderful artists and the public from last year, was that the exhibition was a
grand success and raised the image of the festival as a whole. Something we
were delighted to hear. Moving forward, we have made a few improvements and
changes. The festival will have two art tents this year situated adjacent to
each other near the Bell Tower, on the upper level.”
Closing dates for the application process and application
fee of R250 is June 5, 2015. The selection committee will make their selection
by June 19.
Application criteria need to be adhered to and application
forms can be found on the festival website, www.hiltonfestival.co.za. Successful
applicants will need to submit all necessary information and pay the fees by June
30, 2015.
