(Lindi Ngonelo)

The Centre for Jazz and Popular Music will present talented pianist Lindi Ngonelo on August 12.

Lindi Ngonelo moved to Johannesburg in 2013, and has been working on sharpening her craft as a pianist. Since moving to Johannesburg, she has worked on a variety of different artists and musicians from different genres. This opportunity has contributed to her overall craft and influenced her sound as a musician. Ngonelo feels that her direction has been solidified.

She will perform some original compositions as well as some standards which she has rearranged. The quintet comprises Thembinkosi Mavimbela on upright bass, Sphelelo Mazibuko on drums, Siyanda Zulu on trumpet, Mxolisi Mdlalose on tenor saxophone and special guest Nolwazi Dlamini on vocals.

Join Lindi Ngonelo and band on August 12 at 18h00 at the Centre for Jazz and Popular Music (CJPM), Level 2, Shepstone Building at UKZN Howard College Campus. Doors open at 17h30. Admission R50 (R30 pensioners, R15 students). For more details contact Thuli on 031 260 3385 or email
