The Centre for Jazz
and Popular Music will present talented pianist Lindi Ngonelo on August 12.
Lindi Ngonelo moved
to Johannesburg in 2013, and has been working on sharpening her craft as a
pianist. Since moving to Johannesburg, she has worked on a variety of different
artists and musicians from different genres. This opportunity has contributed
to her overall craft and influenced her sound as a musician. Ngonelo feels that
her direction has been solidified.
She will perform
some original compositions as well as some standards which she has rearranged.
The quintet comprises Thembinkosi Mavimbela on upright bass, Sphelelo Mazibuko
on drums, Siyanda Zulu on trumpet, Mxolisi Mdlalose on tenor saxophone and
special guest Nolwazi Dlamini on vocals.

band on August 12 at 18h00 at the Centre for Jazz and Popular Music (CJPM),
Level 2, Shepstone Building at UKZN Howard College Campus. Doors open at 17h30.
