As part of the
celebrations to mark Adams’ 150 years, the booksellers have published a revised
edition of Dear Old Durban, the book
which Barbara Maud Stone developed from the diaries of Yvonne Miller.
In it she describes
the sights, scents and sounds of Durban in the early years of the 20th Century.
The book is now illustrated with numerous colour reproductions of postcards of
the period from her collection. It will give readers a new perspective as they
view the many remnants of this time to be seen around the city.
