Multiple-award winning guitar virtuoso, Guy Buttery returns
home to Durban for two concerts this week performing with Gareth Gale at the Durban
Life Saving Club on Friday (October 9) and Open Strings in Kloof on Sunday
(October 11).
At the age of 30, Guy has achieved what most musicians
accomplish in a lifetime. This year, Guy Buttery brings a brand new show
featuring drummer/percussionist extraordinaire, Gareth Gale. With sell-out
performances in the US, the UK, Australia, Brazil, France, Italy, and all over
Southern Africa, Guy Buttery is Africa’s biggest acoustic music export.
Described as a “national treasure” by the Mercury, Guy has two South African
Music Awards (SAMA’s) under his belt and four Standard Bank Ovation Awards.
Gareth Gale’s extraordinary work as one of South Africa’s
leading percussionists has taken him to premier arts destinations around the
world.
