KEVAN MARDON FOR ST CLEMENTS



The Mondays @ Six at St Clements programme on October 12 features Kevan Mardon with a presentation titled The Golden Years of Broadcasting.

Kevan Mardon was born and bred in Durban. For 39 years he has been the official Durban Corporation Transport Historian (he retires next year). He has also been a Personality Disc Jockey for 25 years ... and Radio Sound Archivist for “Old Aunty SABC”. His talk will focus on the following:

-       Springbok Radio for Brighter Broadcasting - In these crowded memories of Old Time Radio, we will hear the original Springbok Radio gong!!!
-       The Happy Day Station of LM Radio
-       Noble Service of The English Service
-       Radio Port Natal, The Station With a Lilt in its Voice

St Clements is situated at 191 Musgrave Road. Mondays @ Six run between 18h00 and 19h00. Table bookings are essential on 031 202 2511. There is no cover charge but there is a donations box to support presenters.
