Idols season 8 winner, Clash of the Choirs 2014 Master and
South Africa’s favourite PK (Pastor’s kid), Khaya Mthethwa is set to record his
first live DVD on December 4, 2015, at The Durban Christian Centre (Jesus Dome)
in his hometown of Durban, KwaZulu-Natal.
Born Khayelihle
Mthethwa, the multi-award winning singer, instrumentalist, writer, composer and
all round musician will record the one-night only spectacular show, The Uprising. He has shaken the Gospel,
Afro-soul and R&B world with his commanding voice and has now set his eyes
on a new bigger prize.
The Live DVD
recording show is inspired by his second album, The Uprising, which he released in 2014 after the success of his
debut album, For You. The hitmaker of
Ushilo Wena and Settle For Less became the apple of Mzansi’s eye when he was
crowned the first black winner of the renowned reality music show, Idols South Africa in 2008.
He has built a name
for himself through being one of the shining stars of the multi-award winning
gospel group, Joyous Celebration, which shaped his skills and musical and
spiritual growth. He is also a leader and Pastor at Oasis Church in Durban.
