The next Mondays @ Six programme at St Clements in Musgrave
will take place on November 2 and will feature internationally acclaimed
cartoonist, Dr Nanda Soobben who will be presenting and discussing his work as
an artist and cartoonist.
“As a cartoonist I do not lie, I just exaggerate the truth,”
he says about his work which is regularly published in South Africa, and is
also syndicated to newspapers and magazines in the United Kingdom and Europe.
Soobben is also a painter, a portrait artist, and a social
commentator. In 2010 he was presented with an honorary doctorate from the
Durban University of Technology for his work and cultural contribution to South
African society.
St Clements is
situated at 191 Musgrave Road. Mondays @ Six run between 18h00 and 19h00. Table
bookings are essential on 031 202 2511. There is no cover charge but there is a
donations box to support presenters.
