Romance DStv Channel 107 will screen the cheery Afrikaans musical Pretville on October 26 at 19h00.
Directed by Linda
Korsten in 2012, the film stars Marlee van der Merwe, Terence Bridgett and
Marno van der Merwe.
Pretville is set in the 50s which made shooting on location impossible, so an
entire “town” was created from scratch near Hartbeespoort Dam. It is certainly
not your average 50s South African town. Rock ’n Roll rules!
Pretville is a town
inhabited by an unusual bunch of characters, and each has a story to tell. The
glue that holds the “dorpie” together is music, and no matter what the
circumstances, anyone can suddenly break into song!
