The Centre for Jazz and Popular Music at UKZN will present
the Pre- recitals preview concert on October 14.
The candidates are Diploma Students Bethuel Tshoane, Kaylin
Naidoo and Dylan Silk as well as BPrac students Lucky Swele, Rogan Chaz,
Lungelo Ngcobo and Kwena Ramahuta.
The students will debut some of the material they intend
performing in their recitals in November. Audiences can expect to hear a composition
by Rogan Chaz called First of May and favourites like Twisted by Wardell
Gray, and Annie Ross as well as Everybody’s Party by Pat Metheny and John
Scofield.
The concert takes place at 18h00 on October 14 at The Centre
for Jazz and Popular Music (CJPM) Level 2, Shepstone Building, UKZN Howard
College Campus. Entry fee R50 (R30 pensioners
and R15 students).
